Marcelo Rizzo and his inquires between Science and Mystery:
There is an exhibition of the artist Marcelo Rizzo in Room C at Centro Cultural “Islas Malvinas”. He graduated as an Anthropologist in our city University, at Facultad de Ciencias Naturales and he was Raul Moneta was his teacher and the one who introduced him into painting. Rizzo finally makes his prolific search come true in a territory where science and painting touch each other’s limits. From one’s mystery, which sounds out humanity and culture territory, he gets into the other freely, and his painting covers a way on striking freedom. His colourful works make us dive into touching atmospheres, which seem to come from far away yesterdays, and together with the so well located signs which evoke past rites, Rizzo rises a movingly enchanting work, and, sometimes, of a touching magical strength. But he also remembers the thousand-year-old route that drives us to the present, and he also involves in his images references of the time he shares with us, this present to which he gives his work and faith, and this without leaving his former allusions, to which he provides a new and a fresh meaning. And to prove that there is his magnificent “ Fossilea”, graphs that bring the first tracks of the aborigine art back in that stylised animal, and in the tracks of RIZZO’s hand, in his ritual, it seems to recover a past time in which there were only seasons and days had no names.
And this choice does not mean a decline of other works, which in fact, bring to this exhibition a touching level and attracts us, mainly because of it is charged with magic and beauty.
This exhibition together with its teachings is waiting for us at Centro Cultural “Islas Malvinas”, venue 19 and 51 in our city...
